Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure of these reflexes, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body.
Reflexology is an ancient healing art. The Egyptians practiced a form of foot massage, and eastern cultures have used similar techniques for thousands of years. Reflexology is closely linked to Chinese methods of acupressure and acupuncture, using many of the same reflex points. It has been practiced for many many years, but has had resurgence in recent years due to people having a desire to natural healing remedies.

Massage Therapy is a hands on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effecct on the body and improves health and well being by acting on the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved and physical dysfunction and pain can be relieved or prevented through the use of massage therapy.
Registered Massage Therapists do not diagnose, prescribe or cure, but do have great success with pain management, aiding in the healing process and preventing injury.
It is up to the client to find out if their Health Care Provider accepts coverage through the Massage Therapists Association of Saskatchewan.
As a practicing Registered Massage Therapist of ten years, and being registered in both the provinces of Ontario and Saskatchewan, I have become specialized in treating the body of a number of different levels. I am classically trained in Swedish massage, which targets the muscles, as well as taking a number of courses in which the focus is that of the connective tissue or fasica of the body. Fasica is the tissue that gives your body it structural form or shape. How the skeleton is positioned, how the muscles are shaped and the body's general posture is determed by fascia. I am also certififed by the International Association of Infant Massage Therapists to provide instruction to parents who want to share the communication of touch to their infants or newborns
